It is the best R32 GTR Skyline i have ever seen, according to the website it has had over 90,000 dollars worth of mods done to it and it was done by one of the tuning places in Japan and has done 0km since the mods were installed. It is estimated to be about 800 to 1000hp :shock: due to what boost you are running and is capable of doing a 9sec quarter mile which means it very close to the fastest GTR in the souther hemisphere... No figure is available but the budget for all work done to the car would be in excess of 7 million yen ($90,000) including the initial car cost. The HKS 6 speed transmission alone cost 1.2 million yen. This is a unique opportunity as the vehicle has only just been completed with NO Mileage since the build, and is a VERY regretful sale from the owner's perspective, due to his impending marriage for which he needs the money. Oi cow get in touch with your local importer man. I live in brisbane i know about four importers. I can get HR33 GTS-T 1996 under 50000 kms for around $20,000 fully complied. Or he will show me what on auction and i can pick. Some come with huge blitz intecoolers, computer upgrade, double coil over suspension etc for F#@K all extra. I was looking at a 1995 ECR33 40,000 kms Full body kit(not GTR) Type M, Manual, huge front mount, coil over suspension, 18" rims, Apexi 3" exhaust to 4.5 " tip, for around "9,500 (not registered).
Best buy i missed out on.. still pissed off about it. 1998 Nissan ER34 GT-T 4-door (i like em), 28,000 kms, full leather interior, satelite decoder + tv (working), 17" rims, coil over suspension immaculate condition for $21,000.. nicest car. (the picture is exactly the same as it.. except it had a wing. .. Also i'm a fan of the four doors :P
Cheers for that link Cow.. and cow prestige are the guys who i got the email from about ther r32.. really good to get cars off them a lot cheaper and stuff.. Only problem is with cars under 15 years old the new import scheme fuck them over.. It needs to be stock standard basically, so if it is a modded up skyline non factory parts, it needs to be to bring it into the country.. so you buy a shitload of 2nd hand parts refit with factory then once it gets here re fit the mods back on.

Although it wouldnt be that hard to de-tune it a little bit just so you can get it legal to register for on road, i mean racing is all good and stuff but you can only drive it on the track and drag strip (legally anyway) so hrmm, but detuning it would waste a lot of that 90 grand that was put into the engine... pfft as if i have a spare 60k anyway

i like cars, considering 60k isn't all that much compared to many cars on the market i wouldn't say it's a waste. my personal 'ultimate car' is over a half a mill - and if i had that spare cash lying around it would probably seem like a good investment on my part...
i don't see your logic topgun - you're assuming all people would do with an expensive car, or a 'souped up' car, is drive dangerously or not drive it at all... i know it's your opinion but it's wrong (it's an assumption..)
if i bought that skyline i would drive it like it was meant to be driven...

A computer can be a penis extension if u put it a certain way, for example, a P4 3.2 and an FX 5900 might be justified to the owner, but someone else might think it stupid and that they are just big-noting themselves.
It's a matter of personal opinion, Some people buy new cars for 60000 i might buy an old car and spend 60000 doing it up, who's right/wrong????

toppie, i know quite a bit about road accidents in australia... guess what - speed is not the overriding factor. most of my family work in the area of crime/accidents, specifically in the NT but i keep up to date with road accidents from NSW, Queensland and Victoria.
i know that there are many that would drive it fast, but you over-generalised. yes i would drive it fast (legally), but there is a difference between driving fast and driving dangerously.
i believe that everybody should have to complete a defensive and advanced driving course before or directly after they receive their license... as i did.
Look at Germany or Japan for instance, as long as you are not driving dangerously speed isn't too much of an issue. 250km/h zones on the autobahn.. you get booked for not being able to go up to 250 ffs.
i see where you are coming from, but see where i am coming from - you say that i am spouting off, i may very well be. however, i have both personal experience and the experience of those around me to back me up.
in this day and age it's just too goddamn easy to blame a road accident on speed or the power of the car...
just one example where speed means jack sh*t: my brother was recently in a car accident where a woman, travelling 70, cut across two lanes to do a u-turn at a median-break. my brother was travelling just behind and the the right of her - at 70. totalled his car after he had braked to 35 and the woman was at a standstill.
I agree, It's not the speed and fast cars that kill people. Theres always the extra bit I like to call "The Idiot Factor". It's when some bloke with no experience gets straight into a car and tries to give it a flogging with no idea how it handles, what its limits are and what it's going to do. This apllies to every car from a 3 Cylinder Suzuki to a 12 cylinder Lambo.
There was a crash on the auto barn recently... a copule of guys in a van though they would get nekid and threw their undies out the window and landded on the windscreen of another car and caused them to crash :P
People who don't respect their car are the problem, if you are given a car you are not going to respect it as much as having to save up and buy one. Also people who buy POS just to thrash on the roads are also POS. I own a R33 skyline, i'm selling it because insurance is to high for my because of all these wankers who buy pieces of shit, insure them then write them off or crash into expensive cars. I have been driving for 3 years i'm only 20 i have had one accident which was not my fault (in the kingswood) i motor bike (physco) though he would over take me at a T intersection as i was turining.... he was to busy looking down the other street to notice me stop and indicate then turn.. I drive 40 mins to tafe every second day the amount of people that cut me off, drive out in front, move across etc are uncanny.
People are in too much of a hurry, i cruise to tafe and home no probs at all i mean the traffic's not going anywhere so why should i try and get in front of the guy in front of me... just stupidity.
Driving is not a responsibility its a privilage.. treat it as one!
Um read carefully my posts - I did not say the car or speed were the issue - its the idiots that buy these cars/bikes etc and attempt to use them to their full potenetial - the vehicle that is.
I too have had a lot of experience in this area - been a Service Manager in a car dealership, ben a towie, raced cars, motorcycles and gokarts
Conclusion - fast cars attempt to get driven fast by people who are not fast
You will admit excessive speed is a major contributing factor in road accidents - be it doing 70 k's on a wet road in a 60k zone etc
I am not talking about trying to do 250k's out on the freeway or some such.
Its like a gun - the gun doesnt kill you its the person pulling the trigger - same with fast cars .... nut behind the wheel.
Case in point - we had a mint GTHO ( Number 53 - limited edition - only 250 made - all the fruit) - young guy 18 comes in to buy it - salesman tries to persuade him it is not an ideal first car - son and dad come back and buy car - he lasted one week - killed himself and 3 others in car - doing 75k's around corner and lost it ( trying to do big power slide ) - hit power pole.
Result of police inquiry - excessive speed and lack of driver experience in very powerful car
I know we can go on quoting cases and stats etc but all I am saying is the majority of these types of cars are bought and driven by people who do not know how to.

EDIT: Bah can't quote with an edit :x But what you said top gun about experince i don't totally agree with as the bloke that hit me on his motorbike, had done numerous defensive driving courses(both car and bike) was a black belt in tae kwon do and was in the army..( know this as i went to his house to get the money and saw the certificates) and it was a new motor bike he was driving it home for the first time...

Um I would buy it and take it to the drags they have on here sometimes. This car has already been upgraded and tweaked to the max though so it wouldnt interest me. Not to say that if I had 60 grand lying around I wouldn't buy it :D
I would buy a skyline...possibly an R32 GTR with under a 100 000km on the clock then work on it. Upgrading things and seeing how much I could push it and try and attain that golden sub 10sec quater miles :). Like buying a PC and overclocking it lol.
For some people these things are penis extensions but thats generalising to much. Mabye the guy who buys a skyline then barely does anything with it and just drives around town to show of. I don't see how what I want to do is a penis extension :? .
I would also do advanced driving courses to really learn how to drive a skyline. I've never driven a fully sik GTR skyline but skylines from what i've read demand a skillfull driver to get the most out of them.
It's not speed itself that causes accidents either, it's usually inexperience and lack of knowledge about the car and what to do in emergency's. You should always keep your car in top condition as well, with tires being very important. DO NOT ever go cheap with tires. Common sense and knowledge is the key, just keep an eye out for the idiots on the road...bad drivers and mostly the kid who just got his license and is driving his mum and dads commodore. Can always do a defensive driving course to help you there :).
