I do silent bomb plants when i have the time.
I don't think that it's like Skywalking at all, and have no problem with doing it at all.
Basically, you just have to plant the bomb on the side of an object (wall, crate), have it to the buttons thingos in the middle and aligned slighty inside the box, so that 2/5's of the bomb is on the outside, 3/5's is gonna land on it.
hard to explain, it just takes practice, start up a multiplayer game from your own comp, practice

its on the same line as skywalking, invincibility crouch on siege before (for anyone that doesnt know, in an earlier version, when u crouch in the sewers on the cs_siege map, only knife and grenade can damage you), and hiding inside wall on de_cbble before (on the highest Ts tower, you could crouch and go INTO the red door during beta).
hmm cant remember other bugs or unintended stuff from earlier versions.......oh well, i say it shouldnt be allowed.

I agree, its a flaw I believe and not in the context of the game.

I dont really see anything that wrong about it. Firstly it isnt a map bug, such as skywalking, its in the game. Secondly it can be considered a tactic, if a CT team cant find the bomb when it can only be in a handful of places then they werent going to be able to defuse anyway :)

I used to do it (there a few maps where it's REALLY easy, like dust_2), but don't any more 'cause I like to know how far the bomb has gone...
I find it just as annoying as a T when my team silent plants as I do when I'm CT... (for different reasons obviously).
But I don't think that it's particularly wrong.... It can only be done in a few places, and if you haven't got the sense to check there.... :?

It is a bug, because the game was designed that all players would know when the bomb had been planted, silent planting is contrary to the design of the game so its a bug.

What's it matter? If the other team used their heads they'd already know which bomb site it'd be at.
Either way as kurt said its public who cares, another round won or lost isnt going to kill you :P

Mm I agree just I think silent bomb plants are just as lame yet people seem to go all crazy over skywalking yet often dont care at all about silent plants... I think they are both exploiting bugs... anyway I think its been argued out so I wont take it any further

Yep silent plants are lame too, really it should all be fixed, but it won't be cos CS2 will be along sooner or later and they'll give up on CS. Hopefully that will be better in terms of less lame bugs and hopefully less tossers causing trouble in the servers :? .

ive got a c4 timer thingy, count up to the big bacg. cant count down cause dif servers have different fuses. but when it gets to 30 seconds u know to get the hell out of there. of couse that downt help with finding silent plants, but as sumone said before, there are only so many places u can plant the bomb.

Quite frankly I dont care anymore, its usually only 1 or 2 nobodies that do it anyway.
Skywalking is however a lil umm stupid? Oww lets go walkies on the top of the map and kill people. Err yeah :?
All im saying is with silent bomb planting is that lets face it theres 2 sites it may be planted at, not hard if you have more than 2 or more people. But then again this is public most people are always after the kills and never stop to think about the bomb site if they are Ct's in the first place.
And hey lets face it with a little common sense and some practice the bomb can only be silent planted in most cases at one bomb site only, it is usually in a very easy place to get and see.

nah but normal people would run close to 1 bombsite first, if no sound they run to the other, obviously no time to walk around and check.
silent plant doesnt work against noobs or people playing without sound though. But then if its a noob, he'll prolly get killed by the bomb planter anyway ehe.
but yeh, on public there are lots of lamers that doesnt care about bombs anyway. I've seen a lot of cases where the last CT left just continues camping, even though bomb is planted. Not suprisingly, those lame CTs are usually human invis users. Some try to look less lame by crawling a few meters closer to a bombsite. Oh well thats CS for ya

ok first i like to see them run to a bomb site and then they go to the other bomb site and then they get confused and when they do find the bomb its like "ok im defusing the bomb" and then it blows up and they freak out its all funny :lol: 8)
