well.. castle seems to have been written by someone that really likes californication and the mentalist, but can't handle any of the nitty gritty reality stuff (californication: sex0ring, mentalist: horribly violent history for the main dude).

but the show picked up at the end - has promise

One of the all time great series I think. ^_^ I certainly appreciated the ending... to be honest, not entirely unsuprising how it ended, but it closed everything up pretty lock tight, with hints of further developments if they should wish to.

I won't spoil it for anybody, but if you've not seen the end yet, you're missing out. Explains pretty much everything.
