The netcode lags like hell with 4 players.
That said, the pulse rifle is greatly underrated by Marine players. The smart gun is great for children. Men use the rifle.

An underslung grenade launcher is a real time saver, in that case. Humungo aliens can run and screech all they like: they all go splat when a grenade is pumped into their guts.
