Im looking to change phone providers as with telstra i buy $30 worth of credit and i get $30 worth of calls. I haven’t really minded this up until now where Im sending more messages and making calls during the day. At night its cheap as to make calls from telstra prepaid.
I looked around at vodafone and optus and they get more credit then 1-1 like telstra. Vodafone for example you pay $49 and u get $230 credit but only have a month to use it :( I might even be interested in a plan.
Ideally i would only like to spend 30-40 a month max.
So what provider do you people use and what are the good deals.
Vodafone all the way, pretty hard to beat really, but no idea what coverege is like up in Darwin with Vodafone, can't be too bad I assume. I mainly text rather then talk so I just stick to Vodafones text plan. Good thing about most of Vodafones plans is that it rolls on over to the next month as long as you keep some credit on the phone, plus vodafone to vodafone is hard to beat when you get free time.
Quote from Jono: Good thing about most of Vodafones plans is that it rolls on over to the next month as long as you keep some credit on the phone. i was reading the site and it says Quote: Use your mobile all month and don't worry about what you're spending or running out of credit. Recharge with $49 and you get $230 of credit to spend on standard calls, TXT, PXT™, 123,1223 Directory Assistance, voicemail, 20mins of international calls, Vodafone live! surfing and downloads (Fair Use Policy applies and will affect content downloads and purchases of more than "5 per month) and more. You get 30 days to use your credit on Prepay and Autopay when you nominate an amount and 1 month on Autopay when you nominate a date. Maxi Cap is available from first recharge.
Value not used within expiry period cannot be carried over. http://www.vodafone.com.au/rep/prepay.jsp?gs=foryou&hd=mobiles&st=promo280803&ss=prepaid
This plan would be tops if it lasted more then a month.
Yeah vodafone cap for the win. if you don't use all the $50 cap I'm fairly sure they have the $30 one as well. pretty much pay the same as you are now for more calls/sms/random shit...

They have a deal i like http://www.optus.com.au/portal/site/personal/menuitem.9b38bb3dfffbeae30f7416058c8ac7a0/?vgnextoid=0a00873a78f12010VgnVCM100000c8a87c0aRCRD
Unless you dont like mobile phones when the power goes down. dont use Vodaphone...any company that can't afford backup generators eats poo. i cant find much wrong with telstra. other than the chick on the account query line sounds depressing.
I was on the Vodafone supercap $79 a month max $500 whilst in Darwin, great plan and excellent coverage. I still have the phone here in Perth, on a plan now but again, coverage is excellent and only paying $49 a month on said plan.
go with vodafone. I didnt think that id be able to use $230 in a month, but it goes very quickly. Plus if you go on a plan, you may make a massive phone bill. So id rather pay $49 for a month, than $500 on a phone bill. Plus you get discount for vodafone at woolworths. :)
