I watch DVDs. If a series is any good, it'll generate buzz and come out on DVD.
Otherwise, I have more valuable things to do with my time. I know it's a wanky cliche to say this, but breaking my TV habit was one of the best things I've ever done.

My favourite right now;
Monkey (Magic) - This is a spiritually uplifting television series, with positive moral prescriptions. I now have a crush on Tripitaka, although I really wish he'd get his teeth fixed. The Tribe - Made in New Zealand post-apocalyptic teen drama. The X-Files - Excellent series, except for the last 3 seasons. Truly the best romance on TV! The Lone Gunmen - Including 'Pilot' episode prediction of government staged terror using remote-controlled planes against the WTC. Firefly - Anti-establishment sci-fi. Ghost in the Shell: SAC - Great series. Love the allusions to MKULTRA 'standalone' theories. Ghost in the Shell: 2nd Gig - I love this!
Note: both GITS series must be watched with original Japanese audio and English subtitles, irritating American voiceovers lack emotion entirely, and render the series unwatchable!
just finished the 1st season of House. that show kicks some serious ass.
also everyone hates chris is a terrible show. its unoriginal, crappy and cliched. all the jokes are "i was so poor and black when i was growing up, embarassing situation x happened!" And his voice over narration is so annoying. chris rock stopped being funny years ago when he ran out of original jokes and started rehashing his old ones over and over. /rant

Sopranos is up to episode ten, and the series so far has been awesome, glad they decided to make another season 24: yeh getting sick of it the unit: thanks to unseen, my now favourite show, hope they release ep14 some time soon top gear: first two episodes of season 8 are out

Just finished watching another season of The Amazing Race. No cable at the moment so down to local channels. Watching firefly DVD series again after watching Serenity on DVD. ( darn FOX )
I want Stargate SG-1 back :/ f*ckin Seven. They have Morena Baccarin(sp?)(Inara from Firefly and Serenity) joining the show soon, and we're a season behind!
in fact... if anyone in NSW is bored... here's a phone number for you: (02) 8777 7777 That's Seven's head office. I'd love to hear an answer as to why SG-1 hasnt been on the air for over a year now. As I understand it, Seven's broadcasting deal with MGM means that MGM can't even release the season 9 DVDs here until Seven has aired the season. There's comments that Seven *wont* air it because people have been getting the episodes off the net. If this is true then surely they're just pouring fuel on the fire, since how many people have got fed up waiting, downloaded the eps from this magical thing called BitTorrent, and realised - 'holy crap! I can get all my favourite shows a year before they're out here!'. Ah well.. it's their foot I suppose, they can shoot it if they want to.
