Getting it now

If your with Node go to their homepage, if not go to Nvidia's website

I'll post what its like when ive played it for a bit

Post 2

Oh well i guess whoever made it is ignorant of the fact that 3dfx cards are still around, because when i attempted to play it, i was unable to, but when my friend with a TNT2 played it, it actually got into the menu and was able to be played.

The makers were also ghey enough to have some Nvidia advertising as the splash screen

Post 3

OMFG just found out, they made a game to utilise hardware T&L all because Nvidia was the video card manufacturer that helped to create the game.

Post 4

shock. gasp. horror. a video card company helps develop a game and you're surprised it makes use of features of those video cards?

Post 5

No but the thing is, they could have at least made it so it didnt absolutely have to have those features.

The fact they made it a requirement, is what sucks, because their basically making it a requirement to buy Nvidia or ATI. That makes them just as bad as Microsoft and Winbloat

Post 6

um, TNT2's do not have hardware t&l.

Post 7

Well its rockin along on my GF2 Ultra...

Still waiting for my registration reply email

Very nice game...

When you zoom in you can hear your breathing and the rifle moves around in time to it...

Para is almost impossible to aim when standing up.... :D

Very slick game thou

Post 8

you'd need arms bigger than EoS's to be able to aim a para while hipshooting with it

Yeah i know they dont have T&L, and i got nfi how it manages to play it, but a VooDoo 5 5500 cant play it despite it being way more powerful

Post 10

EoS told me he don't have a body...

Post 11

OMG 206mb......

*faints*

*waits patiently for 'node ADSL* :)

Post 12

Can us poor (56K) gamers please have a more fortunate (ADSL) gamer to bring it to DGA15 so that we can share in the fun. :D

Post 14

It wont be out till next year, but the demo is out for all to use :)

Post 15

Took me 20 mins and 10 secs to download. :) and didn't count towards my 3Gb...

Not much point in having it at a lan yet as the server side files haven't surfaced yet ( well I havent worked out how to host anyway.)

You can unlock the basic training areas without being online however

a beta was leaked. i can't be bothered downloading it, reported to be buggy as hell.

Post 17

that's definitely been the word, that UT2003 is buggy as...pity...

Ment, the post was just to bring it so us poor 56kers can get it to play around with and wait until the server side stuff can come out, 206mb is a lot to download for me...

Post 18

Yeah the leaked beta was unbeleivably buggy, but the one they released as a public beta apparently fixed quite a few bugs.

They fixed the problem with 3dfx cards :D (Thats all i care about :P)

Post 19

Remember to wear your tinfoil hats while playing :D

Post 20

Seqo....whats the hold up on your DSL....Telstra??

You'll love the node when you get it...

Post 21

the game rules..

best outdoor war based game i have seen for a while ..

Post 22

can someone please post the exact site for where i can get this game?

Post 23

If your with Internode go here:nvidia.com

And pick which mirror of if you want it in parts or whole download

Post 24

Pity I have to wait till i upgrade my Video card to something like the Radeon based on the R300 chip or the Creative/3DLabs P10 :(

Sif it requires hardware T&L, if a TNT2 runs on it anything should be able to. All they've done is program it to require any Nvidia or any card with T&L

Post 25

Heres a better link (in Australia)

Post 27

yeh Ment waiting on telstra to get off their arses...if they knock it back i will kill them

seriously i live like 200 metres in a straight line from the exchange and my second phone line was put in about 8 months ago so it should be working fine...

sigh sigh...hopefully by the end of the month everything will be working...

still gotta get a modem though :|

Post 28

farrrk i didnt expect the game to be 200mb+ it will take me years to download :(
gosh i hate dial up
anway is it a mod or a whole new game?
whats it like?
what format?

Post 29

Nah its the whole game

Thats why there is links to download it in parts so those on dialup can get it, rather than have to leave their comp connected for a day or two

Post 30

cool thanks ill download it in parts since i cant bum it off a mate :D

Post 31

Yeh, my gf3 finaly came in handy... it still wont run @ full capacity >:/ maybe thats my monitor.
anyways, read up on the game, it seems pretty spastic... looks like another game you get for free with your video card to test its graphics :D
just wait till AA2 comes out :D

Post 32

Releases will come a few weeks apart. Somewhere in that schedule, we'll sneak in a proper in-game server browser, and put out a kit so people can run their own servers at home.

this has to be a good thing

Post 33

Yes this is definitely something I'd like to see hosted By O4 provided I'm not the only person who's loving it. (Though the good dial-up pings I'm getting in the US are pretty good too, no drops of lag)
