It has come to the point that the Administration staff have to act.
The language and abuse both typed and said now on the servers really does not portray the community servers in a light, that we lke..
Several long term members here, and a whole swag of newer ones are in our sights.
From now, U get 1 warning, then a kick, try it again, have a 2 hour ban..
U dont want the next level.
Keep it clean from now on please everyone..
worse is when they feed you to the Eater

Put it this way there is not going to be a rating its going to be for the Admins discretion i believe..
You get a warning first so from that you should be able to get the point of what we will accept or not.. And if your so daft not to be able to get the point from the warning then you will be kicked that might help you out..

You know where a little swearing is accepted, its all good fun and games, and you also know what's considered excessive, unnecessary or immature. If you can't tell the difference, the admins will remind you, fail to take in that warning.... and as Cornelius would say, "Goodbye".

Straight away he appologised for it, but in voice and typed.. And refrained from doing it again..
That wipes the slate clean..
But if he had of kept on I would have no hesitation in kicking him. And then admin_ban 120 'ing him..

Yes I admit I was responsible for a small ipece of profanity last night. I would just like to apologise to the comunity and any other gamers that felt discomforted by my actions or were offended by it. I am a soldier in the australian army and we do have fairly bad language at work but that is no excuse and I sincerely apologise. The reason I was so pissed off was (DNC)Wortel was continually shooting me while we were on the same time, and while he only shot me once each time, a deagle to the head on FF does 70 damage so I was quite annoyed, but I am not using this as an excuse as I understand that I must accept responsibility for my actions :)

Ask him to stop, making sure the admins can hear your request.
If he continues, ask again. If you have to keep doing it the admins are sure to step in.

The thing was I was never killed, just injured so was not at full health, I did attempt a vote kick and it succeeded but not enough yes' for a kick, so there was nothing else I could do

I began this little quest by the admins to start another sweep of the servers... When you become concerned about having your speakers on when there are children in the house. Or you think that newbies would be getting annoyed, you know it is time for a change.....
This is another Admin with his eyes and ears open... problem is you may not know I am on......

Even if there isnt a well known name playing, ask as if there was.. As if a admin is observing the game without wishing to have his presence known, they can still act..

Picture this........My brother and I are playing CS on my L33T PC and SUPA FAST Connection on Internoob and some NZ servers. After pwning our fill of ghey LPB's we decide to have a look on Server 2.
We play for a while and thi is what happens. (See pictures below)
I'm very sure somewhere that's one of the reasons we have registered servers, to stop that sort of things happening.
Heh now I'm sure I'm one of the main reasons for the spawn of this thread. I apologise about it. There were reasons behind why I was but I'd prefer to keep that to myself. I don't swear that much anymore. I think I learned my lesson.
What I'd like to know, is am I permanently Llama'd on some maps? Because sometimes I just log onto a server and I'm automatically Llama'd, or on a map change I'll be Llama'd. It's quite frustrating (being Llama'd just make me wanna swear more.... and thus, doesn't solve a problem), and I'd just like to know yea.
Then again, could you guys just send me al ist of banned words on the server via ICQ (#54965100) or my e-mail (mr_freshwater@hotmail.com), that way I'll know if I've said something wrong.

I am new to this forum but have played on your server quite often
I use the odd "ffs" etc - but usually pull my head in when told to do so
I also take exception to the continual verbal and typed abuse
It is usually from the losing team and directed at the better players
So more power to the admins to control this ...
Another point - what about the people who play those annoying little tunes while trying to sneak around and hear footsteps etc ?
Are they subject to kiks etc ?

press TAB then click there name to mute.
this will stop them from playing the tunes.

Now I have been around for a short while I have found the behaviour has improved a lot
You still get the odd profanity and I and others will politely ask for them to cease and desist - usually they do
So IMHO it is up to all of us to be the "police" in this situation - afterall for some, it is their second home - and not put the pressure back on the admins except in cases where the offender will not stop.
But what does get my goat is when a female player ( [TOB]Lady springs to mind ) joins and the swearing continues .... now if we are trying to attract players ( especially the female gender ) then we all need to be aware of mouths and typing and behave as if you were in a public place with other ( largely ) unknown people around.
what exactly are we classifying as swearing ??
because some words you use arent really swear words and besides some people use it out of thrustation.. lol

Swearing, as another admin said - was how it is used - context. I don't mind the odd f*** or shit after a poor death, but when it is used excessively, then i cut in. Swearing at other players and admins is a no no, and for that you will be punished.
Everybody should know what is right and what isn't, if you don't, turn your computer off and go back to preschool
To put it into context ....
Swearing or using words deemed inappropriate - so like what you would not say to your mum or to a teacher at school or in a public place with other ( unknown ) people around.
Its a common sense thing .... no need to f*** and blind continually while palying CS ... sure the odd ffs or poop is OK and I mean very occassionally .... but continual streams of verbal abuse at all and sundry is a big no no and admins will kick/ban for this type of behaviour.
as any who know me from the wc3 servers (hey guys 8) ) whenever someone says any swear word i just hit mouse3 and it says language and MOST people apologise, but there are just those few that seem to think that just because someone isnt an admin they dont have to listen to their warnings..
i found it a little irritating like many find me :D but rules are rules and MUSt be followed. -grim is good with the language thing its teh funniest
can i just point out that CS has a ma rating on it, at least it says 15+ sumwhere, or is that just the sign at my local lan, i forget, but the essential point is that most people are at least a little mature and can handle giving and taking a little crap. i understand when it gets excessive, but i just hope that admins aint gonna get power hungry or nothing and handing out kicks, bans, perm bans like there's no tomorro.
that said, most of the admins ive played with are pretty cool aslong as u give em a bit of respect.
What i think they are getting at is, if you get killed for example, you can say, "Ahh F**k it", or FFS or the like, but if you go "F**k you piece of f**ken s**t im going kick the f**k outta you, you b**ch", then ur gonna get banned.
