Does anyone know if there i a way i can get my battle.net diablo 2 characters so i can use them to lan with?. I found where they there files are put and copied them into the single player characters file but it did nothing :(

I always liked the Protector shield for the paladin, with 3 perfect diamond in it :)
I took on Diablo and didnt get damaged cos i had complete imunity from elemental attacks :D :twisted:

Killer - if they are closed battlenet chars.. they are stored on the blizzard servers, the files you have are just authentication files, there is no way to use them. Btw if we do play at a lan.. ( which i would like to ) it is 1.09D patch, diablo2 exp. I also only play hardcore chars now so... I have a lev 60 odd softcore pally, but i dont play him much..
Flam - Fanatacism is the name of the aura, one of the best ones, only problem is it only has a 7.5 yard radius which kinda nuters it for multi-player. The other auras that are on par with it are: Holy freeze (aka holy cheeze) conviction, and belive it or not Holy shock. Zeal is WAAAAAAY over rated, the most you should ever EVER put in it is 4 points, The only thing that increases after the 4th point is attack rating... woopdedoo... a much much much better place to put points is in either vengeance or holy shield (or both :P ), vengeance increases attack rating and damage, not to mention it is mostly elemental damage so therefore takes out thos pesky imune to phys baddies. Pallys should never have more then 1 point in 1 aura, the only execption is vigor, if you have run out of places to spend poins (primary aura at 20, zeal at 4, vengeance 20, HS, 20) feel free to start putting points in either fist or vigor.

u gotta admit that the crapest charactors are necromacers but yeah i use a barb on battle net he is lvl 86 :lol: anyone know where i can get some hacks/trainers so i dont have to train a barb on hardcore to lvl 50 for the lans or what me cant be stuffed training befor evo as me is fixing my new comp

during a game... press enter type in players 8... then leave town, it will make the monsters as hard as if there were 8 people in the game therefore they have 8 times the health 4 times the armour and do 4 times the damage... however they also give 8 times the xp.. meaning you have a lev 5 before you leave the den of evil.. level 18 before you finish act one, get to baal kill him... go back kill him again.. bout 10-12 times. bang level 50

havce you seen and Übered up were-wolf druid using the imortal kings stone crusher. i tell you is scared me, he did a little over double the damage that my barbarian does (which is approx 800-1200 using concertration(sp?)). now think about that for a minute and then you'll realise why i was scared.

Druids rock. My Druid beats the hell out of stuff my 50 Barb has trouble with. Only thing the Druid has difficulty with is physical immunes and stuff with heaps of elemental attacks.

lev 73 necro using curses/summons
lev 67 barb using spears/whirlwind/war cry

Yeah they did nuter sorcs in a big way in 1.07...
casting delays on all big spells... BUT they did change lightning mastery to be useful :P
but hydra was far more fun in they days of maximum spammage.... :P
i remember the first time i took on diablo... go to level 30 on the last monster before him put my saved points into hydra, fire mastery and frozen orb.... then proceeded to fill the area with hydras... :P

when your in game, press enter then type "players 8" (i think it is) and it increases the strength of the monsters to what it would be in an 8 player game. This means you should get more experience from killing them too :)

Hehe, I love it with an Assassin. Run in, Phoenix Strike to 3 charges, then Dragon Tail. All the other cows freeze, so make easy prey for another Phoenix Strike/Dragon Tail job.

Players 8 you have to be in a multiplayer game.
Just host a tcpip game and then hit enter
Type players 8
Monsters are now tougher but the Xp is better.
You can go higher eg players 256 but it doesnt give you much more exp.
Players 32 does tho for higher level chars...
Get a program called d2load, lets you load up multiple copies at the same time and you can connect to yourself.
Currently my level 65 Hardcore Paladin sits in a corner while my levl 60 amazon does the quests and they both get the Xp and quest rewards :)
I used to run 6 copies and have 5 chars leeching while da big barb hammers everything.
Been doing equ runs the last few weeks with my lightning sorc.
Go 6 chars/mules now full of unique and set goodies for you guys at next DGA :)
Should have 10 chars full by early Jan, takes 15 mins to kill meph,diabs, travincial and bhaal in one run. Teleport, static field and nova :)

sorc is like coco said... static field teleport and nova... no escape if you are quick on your f-keys
amazon... guided arrow... pierce... NO ESCAPE... the only thing that could hold up against this is a pally with 75 percent blocking... and even then... good luck...
a barbs leap attack can be dodged very very esaily... fire a single arrow and it floats under the barb till he this the ground then BAM!!! no more barb..

i agree zons and sorces are great for duals as i learned on b-net but whne i go killing monsters i like barbs becuase u have the health and strenght to kill the with hand to hand combat this the other 2 u stay back and kill and then people leech befor u can get in so i use babrs alot

AHHHHH SORC kicks ass for dueling - the fact is becuase you cannot catch them :D
Like coco said :D You put your shields up, put on thunderstorm (that hurts) teleport all over the place, wait for the right time and get closish (depending on enemy) cast static Field get em half way or something on their hp bar, then tele right next to em and nova the crap outta them. Just make sure your using "shaftstop" :D Cos if your dueling a barb - your going to recieve one beautiful blow :lol:
The only real way to stop a sorc is to max out your Lightning resistance.
Amazon is pretty much King of PKing, guided arrow and a ton of 20 hp SC, if you can get 40/15 jewels then your laughing. Obviously Windforce or Eaglehorn is the bow to go - gl finding a WF though (not impossible). A pair of Clegs is a nice way to piss of the opponent :lol:
Any other charc is well... useless... 8)

heh just got the expansion. Now my 800 rare ornate plate on my sorceress is crap. There was a magic ornate plate of 833 in the shop in act 5 :(. And sorceresses could kick a barb any day in a duel. Max lightning mastery and max thuder storm :). Plus teleport if htey get to close and frozen orb.

the add socket quest eh :P
you can do it on any item which dont have socekts in it already including uniqe set and rare..
on a magical item it will add 2-3 sockets
rare/unique/set it will add one
on any non-magical gear it will add the full number of sockets or the full number of sockets minus 1 (if you are unlucky)
the main uses for this quest are:
making rune words
making ethereal stuff unbreakable (good luck finding a zod rune, other idea is a jewel with repairs durability)
adding something very necessary (aka life-steal) to a unique item to make it much more worthwile. One of the best examples is the Pul rune :)
after act 4 just about everything you face is a demon.. pul rune is 75% more damage to demons on a weapon... mucho extra damage :P

i havent played too many assassins so i prolly couldnt tell you...
I think it would come down to where the fight was... if it was in an area with lotsa monsters arround i think the assassin would have a much better chance....
btw one trick i have found with an assain is a good weapon for them (other then claws)
belive it or not... Bows... give em a fairly nasty bow and use the darken skill, so the enimeis cant see you and dont charge at you, and then have venow activated.. yes it works on bows... so they get the butloads of poison damage... :P

Well the assassin has a shadow skill, so basically if used there would be 2 assassins :)
Locutus uses the assassin alot so he'd probably know how strong they are, i had one for a bit but never really got far with it. I'd say it would be a fairly even battle, if they were of even levels, i'd say the assassin would be in good chance of winning
