    Anyone preordered this yet?

I did it today just to get the beta key for this weekend to see if I will play it later on or not.

Yes it does have the anime style to it but it seems to be more polished than any other MMO I have played as of late (and I have played almost all of them).

    Beta starts on Saturday.

Its sexy, sleek, looks polished (past beta stages). First quest line if you actually read it all brings you in depth to the whole world.

Crafting seems simplistic but yet satisfying, you even get xp for gatering (not much however). Buying and selling items just got so much more simplier. You can basicly sit down and put items for sale via an automated shop interface anywhere ingame. You dont even have to click approve you can be pretty much afk (after you set prices of items)

The music is top notch and it all ties in with how much health you have. If you have played Maple Storey it sounds simlar in the fantasy aspect. But funnly enough it all works together.

The cut scenes ingame look very nicly and it is not pre rendered. It appears to be using the crytec engine(it says so on startup). It is the sexyist mmo I have played coming alot infront of LoTR:O.

Lag is to be expected in a beta whilst they polish netcode and is noticable say once or twice every 20min or so but I'm not complaining.

I am quite happy with the games first 6 hours, and as such with only playing this long no other mmo has sucked me in for a sitting that long at the start.

3 Years for a game they must be happy with how it has come.

i didnt answer it on the forum - i just negated it

(it didnt give it to me when i installed it because i didnt install - being at work and all - can only fit city of heroes on here )

but going into the game properties and clicking the visit aion website button takes you there with the serial number

did anyone in the beta manage to reach level 10?

Just got to 10 this morning at 2am. Was definatly worth staying up to get to the cut scene and selecting specialisations.

For your level 10 skills you need about 12k in game currency for all ya skills (dont go out an buy a nice weapon with ya money as you will reget it).

ahh so you have to pay a trainer to lvl up?

Pay the trainer to skill up rather. It was just quire considerably more than say level 5 to 7 which was only about 1k currency.

Another cool thing I knoticed is that when you die you loose xp. But you can purchase that XP back from the 'spirit healer'. Level 5 it was say 2% of xp till level 6 and at level 9 it was about 6% till level 10 it took off. I guess it is an incentive not to die lots / keep everything in balance.

The xp loss system will be interesting for PvP in the abyss.
