just found this in another forum and its an hour long video of the government causing the attacks... i know there was a thread posted before about the pentagon but this shows the twin towers and flight 93 as well

Watched it.. and have watched other ones the same.. i really dont know what to think..
Honestly anyone who thinks a government would kill thousands of its own citizens and arrange it to blame somebody else so that it jutifies a war is just plain stupid.
Did u watch it toast? some things on there are true.. some un-explained things.. some things that just dont add up...

It also begs the question: if September 11 was a conspiracy to get the USA to fight a war in Iraq, what was the purpose of the bombings in Madrid and London?

The Madrid/London bombings were committed by the Jews to make the Muslims look bad. At least, that's what a few Muslims have told me.

And I suppose World War II was started to give the Germans a bad name, Stalin was a propaganda agent for anti-communist forces etc etc.
Blind faith in any form of Government is dangerous. Whilst I don't subscribe to the 9/11 theories, the principle of question govt's and their motives is valid.
Read up on South American history over the last 50 years though and the kind of theories about 9/11 are slightly more plausible.

The biggest problem? Scale. President Bush's illegal monitoring program was blown open by one anonymous source. Outside of the NSA only a handful of people would have known.
A government conspiracy of 9/11 scale would require dozens or even hundreds of participants. Someone somewhere would have talked. Failing that, we'd have seen a mysterious bunch of senior officials turning up dead. Neither has occurred.
I don't trust governments either, but there's a difference between not trusting the government and trusting any old internet conspiracy theory.

Not as an act of paranoia but as a part of the balancing act of society, giving up some of your personal liberties to enable these bodies to act on our behalf. As soon as you stop questioning you have given up all rights to good government.

There's a line between rational questioning and crazy tin-foil hat theories. It's pretty clear where most people stand on this one. Common sense for the win imo.

Folk around here know that I like to go beyond the questioning part into the organising and campaigning bit.
But when you ask questions, you need to question yourself. In my experiences, most conspiracies rely on even more stretched analogies, more iffy claims and overworked lines of reason (but fewer outright lies) than the government does.
For example, I don't think conspiracy is needed to explain why the government didn't know about AWB bribing the Iraqis. Never assume malice where incompetence will do.
I don't think conspiracy is needed to explain why the USA went to war in Iraq. George W Bush wanted to do it, and would have made the WMD argument anyway, anyhow.
However I do think conspiracy theories deserve a conspiracy theory. I for one believe that conspiracy theorists are part of a vast program of disinformation, designed to turn otherwise sensible people into nutsos, whackjobs and other harmless, poorly reasoning types. This serves the interests of the producers of Big Brother, who the obvious perpertrators.
