Before my competitive first person shooter drive, before my passion for racing sims was games the likes of Leisure Suit Larry, Monkey Island and Broken Sword. Since clocking Blade Runner for the third time in 1997 I've been longing for another adventure game that captured my sci-fi imagination, and finally 14 years later along comes Gemini Rue.

    Styled in circa 1994 fashion, not dissimilar to the legendary Beneath A Steel Sky, Gemini Rue takes indie gaming on a walk down memory lane, but one that "stands up as a thoroughly enjoyable modern release" according to Ars. Adventure Classic Gaming agree with them, saying "the game is a seamless blend of old and new", and Adventure Gamers give it 4 out of 5 stars noting the game's "remarkable storytelling".

    There's little doubt the $15 purchase of Gemini Rue will be repayed through a memorable experience for any fan of the genre, which you can make at the developer's official website.

      I've been on an adventure game bender lately, filling in the gaps of adventure games I missed back in the day. So far I've finished Kings Quest 4, 5 and 6. Now I'm on to Space Quest 4 and 6. Will definitely be checking this one out.

  • CS:GO gets a substantial content update

    Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was just updated again, making a number of changes and additions to the game. The default map has been switched from Inferno to Train, which appears to be a far better recreation than Inferno, apart from the fog issue. There are also a bunch of new weapons: the Para, the TEC-9 Pistol, the SG 552 (pictured), and the AUG....
