Two months ahead of the likely Australian release of Star Wars: The Old Republic, EB Games has begun importing and selling the game throughout their network of bricks and mortar stores, as well as on their website where stock is still available. Harvey Norman's Direct Import store is yet to follow suit.
EB are selling SWTOR for $78, a whopping $18 more than other online stockists that ship to Australia such as ozgameshop.com - but the difference is that it's in stock, and you can grab it right now.
For the time being you will have to play on American servers but as reported by Kotaku AU, Bioware have informed Australian import owners they can easily switch over to local ones.

The default map has been switched from Inferno to Train, which appears to be a far better recreation than Inferno, apart from the fog issue. There are also a bunch of new weapons: the Para, the TEC-9 Pistol, the SG 552 (pictured), and the AUG....

by recI've been shooting some face in the CS:GO beta for the first time this evening, and there's quite a bit to talk about. I should preface this impressions article with the note that while I used to play at a national level, it has been years since I've delved into any CS in any serious capacity. I'm sure there will be a number of current day elitists out there who disagree with my opinions, but I'm not claiming this as gospel, so append as much or as little weight to these opinions as you care to....

by recWho here is looking forward to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive? Considering that this community's roots were founded in the early betas of Counter-Strike, I'd hope at least a few of you still have an interest! The next lot of CS:GO beta keys will be given away based on the results of a new Steam survey and participant selections will be made over coming months. "Sometimes we might add experienced players, other times new players. Sometimes 1.6 players, sometimes CSS players, sometimes people who ...
