There's only 38 hours left until the alpha for Natural Selection 2 is released and the prices for pre-order go up. The Alpha will be available to those who have purchased the Special Edition Pre-order for $39.95 USD, which also includes an all black Marine armour when playing online and the developers' eternal gratitude. The special edition will no longer be available for purchase after the 26th.
If you're trying to save your pennies, the standard pre-order is available for $19.95US. This price also goes up after the 26th and will not give you access to the alpha.
You can pre-order from the official Natural Selection 2 website. Your game key will be emailed to you, after which you can then add it to your steam account.

There are also a bunch of new weapons: the Para, the TEC-9 Pistol, the SG 552 (pictured), and the AUG....

by recI've been shooting some face in the CS:GO beta for the first time this evening, and there's quite a bit to talk about. I should preface this impressions article with the note that while I used to play at a national level, it has been years since I've delved into any CS in any serious capacity. I'm sure there will be a number of current day elitists out there who disagree with my opinions, but I'm not claiming this as gospel, so append as much or as little weight to these opinions as you care to....

by recWho here is looking forward to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive? Considering that this community's roots were founded in the early betas of Counter-Strike, I'd hope at least a few of you still have an interest! The next lot of CS:GO beta keys will be given away based on the results of a new Steam survey and participant selections will be made over coming months. "Sometimes we might add experienced players, other times new players. Sometimes 1.6 players, sometimes CSS players, sometimes people who ...
