ID:	596310 Kotaku has been told by anonymous sources that Duke Nukem Forever development now continues at a new home; that of Gearbox Software - the team behind Borderlands. It has been indicated that a playable demo of Duke Nukem Forever will be available later this year.

This rumor holds some real weight, given that Duke's voice actor, Jon St. John, hinted at the game's revival in January of this year. He told the audiences at MAGfest he couldn't speak about the game, and followed up with "No, no, don't be disappointed. Read between the lines. Why am I not allowed to talk about it?"

For those who aren't up-to-speed on the epic saga that is the unfinished DNF; development hung in 2009 when the great 3D Realms went under. Take-Two, the game's publisher, later sued 3D Realms for its failure to complete the game in a reasonable time frame.

Gearbox's present, Randy Pitchford, declined to comment, but suggested he may be able to clarify the situation at this year's Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle.

On the 10th of May DNF was made available for pre-purchase on Steam. As per usual lately; Australia is getting region gouged.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was just updated again, making a number of changes and additions to the game. The default map has been switched from Inferno to Train, which appears to be a far better recreation than Inferno, apart from the fog issue. There are also a bunch of new weapons: the Para, the TEC-9 Pistol, the SG 552 (pictured), and the AUG....

  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta impressions

I've been shooting some face in the CS:GO beta for the first time this evening, and there's quite a bit to talk about. I should preface this impressions article with the note that while I used to play at a national level, it has been years since I've delved into any CS in any serious capacity. I'm sure there will be a number of current day elitists out there who disagree with my opinions, but I'm not claiming this as gospel, so append as much or as little weight to these opinions as you care to....
