  • Battlefield 3 digital retailers announced, Steam absent

That list included Direct2Drive, GamersGate and EA's own Origin. It failed to list Vave's thirty-million user strong Steam, however. This likely has something to do with the recent dispute between the two industry giants. EA has since removed the post containing the said list of digital retailers.

    For those of you who aren't willing to pay Australian retail prices or stray from Steam for your digital catalogue, you can pre-order Battlefield 3 from ozgameshop.com for $47, or dungeoncrawl.com.au for $56. It's my understanding that these will in fact be UK copies of the game, but that will make no difference to you - apart from potentially taking a few days longer to arrive.

      How will origin work for bf3? Will it be a separate distribution channel OR will it be like with Cod mw2 where you bought a retail copy but still needed to activate and use it via steam.



      Although im sure in the future EA will make it compulsory to activate games via origin

    Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was just updated again, making a number of changes and additions to the game. The default map has been switched from Inferno to Train, which appears to be a far better recreation than Inferno, apart from the fog issue.
