Skyrim "lag" fix for PS3 may never arrive
Unfortunately for our PlayStation 3 brethren, they may never see a fix to the biggest issue plaguing their Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim experience. Fallout: New Vegas director, Joshua Sawyer, says the 'PS3 lag' problem is an "an engine-level issue with how the save game data is stored" and would take a "large time commitment" to fix. Elaborating, he said "the longer you play a character, the more bit differences on objects (characters, pencils on tables, containers, etc.) get saved off and carried aro... -

Next Command & Conquer titled Alliances?
EA has gone on a mad domain registering spree, grabbing over a dozen Command & Conquer URLs, all featuring the word "Alliances". Strangely though, previous major C&C releases have also been included in the names such as redalertalliances.com, generalsalliances.com and so-forth.
What does it all mean? I guess we'll have to wait for an announcement, which is rumoured to come on December 10 at the Spike TV Video Game Awards, but in the meantime you can find the full list below.- all

Syndicate weapons get previewed
The latest Syndicate Deep-Dive video shows off the arsenal of Agent Tools at your dispersal in the forthcoming shooter. 19 weapons and 87 attachments will be available, with 25 upgrades. Of particularly awesome note is the swarm launcher, a 'super weapon'. There's no Skrillex or Digitalism soundtrack this time, but it's still a must watch. "Along with the latest prototype chip (DART6), see all the agent tools you have in your arsenal as you fight through this brutal world of corporate governance ... -

Thanks for the memories, GamePro
I fondly remember laying on my bedroom floor reading the latest edition of GamePro, writing a list in my notebook - an actual one, made of paper - a detailed list of which games from the issue I wanted to purchase or rent for my Super Nintendo. Sadly, GamePro is the latest gaming magazine casualty of the new millennia. Originally launching in 1989 the GamePro name enjoyed much success during 90s, but with shrinking interest in print publications its time is up, starting with the closure of its webs...

by recCounter-Strike: Global Offensive was just updated again, making a number of changes and additions to the game. The default map has been switched from Inferno to Train, which appears to be a far better recreation than Inferno, apart from the fog issue. There are also a bunch of new weapons: the Para, the TEC-9 Pistol, the SG 552 (pictured), and the AUG....

by recI've been shooting some face in the CS:GO beta for the first time this evening, and there's quite a bit to talk about. I should preface this impressions article with the note that while I used to play at a national level, it has been years since I've delved into any CS in any serious capacity. I'm sure there will be a number of current day elitists out there who disagree with my opinions, but I'm not claiming this as gospel, so append as much or as little weight to these opinions as you care to....
